Still in this sketching hellhole. I think it’s been years since I actually focused on a single piece. It’s more convenient to do daily sketches, take a poor photo and post it somewhere. But man, years of that and I don’t have any big art things to be proud of. I just got sketchbooks people can look through.
Here’s some people I’ve drawn. From existing properties, I’ve drawn Joylene Kujo from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean and The Nameless One from Planescape: Torment. Also the girl resembles Megan Schroeder best known for her friendship with Chris-Chan. The rest aren’t from anything, but I may use them for my next space musical.
Anyway, I got the big paper out and started on a piece. I’m stripping myself away from this “oooh spoogy monster whatever” thing I’d always do and try to be more conceptual in a way. I had this previous thing I ditched that was kinda going okay, but got bored of because it was the millionth “spoogy doogy doo monster human gore EMOTIONAL”. My big twist on it was to put a girl with it, but the most fun part was the girl, and it was the only part of it that I actually finished. Before that was a failed attempt at doing an album art (mecha girl+extreme abstract gore) for Machine Girl and I’m sure the trend continues.
My next thing I’d like to actually finish is more down to earth/less abstract. Got good progress done and will hopefully get a good amount of lineart done to post it.
